This semi-guided tour provides a view of the natural wonders of the Cibao region in Dominican Republic. About 10-15 people will travel to the island starting in Santiago at Dance Academy New Dance RD. Participants will participate in eco-tours including hiking forests, waterfalls, beaches, snorkeling, whitewater rafting and taking Bachata, Merengue, and Dembow/Reggaeton dance classes. This is a culturally immersive and resort-free travel experience. We will follow COVID-19 guidelines in the US and Dominican Republic.

Day 1- Santiago City Tour
Explore the highlights of Santiago in one day on this city tour, a great choice for first-time visitors with limited time. In the evening enjoy a merengue dance class at Dance Academy RD.
Day 2- Puerto Plata- 27 Waterfalls of Damajagua
Journey into the tropical rain forest near Puerto Plata to explore the 27 Waterfalls of Damajagua, a series of cascading waterfalls, canyons, and bright azure pools. Trek to the 12th waterfall or all the way to the top of the 27th with a local guide, and then jump, swim, and slide your way back down. Afterwards, refuel with a Dominican buffet-style lunch. Participate in a Puerto Plata city tour and in the evening enjoy a bachata dance class at Dance Academy RD.
Day 3- Punta Rucia- Cayo Arena
Visit Cayo Arena which is known for its turquoise water, white sand, and colorful reef. Visit the Monte Cristi National Park where you can explore the mangrove jungle and see local wild life. Upon arrival on the island go ashore to sunbathe and explore or take a guided snorkeling tour during which you will see a variety of tropical fish and coral. In the evening enjoy a reggateon/dembow dance class at Dance Academy RD.
Day 4 Jarabacoa- Salto de Jimenoa 1, Whitewater Rafting, Paragliding (optional)
Salto de Jimenoa 1 is a towering 246 feet tall waterfall on the Yaque Del Norte River. The fall cuts through the rock face of a dramatic ravine. It was featured in the opening scenes of the first Jurassic Park movie. Paragliding is a highlight experience for adventure lovers coming to Jarabacoa. You will have the option to go with a professional pilot and roam the skies above the Jarabacoa valleys or you can hop on a raft and enjoy the cool waters of the Yaque del Norte River, the longest in the Caribbean. Accompanied by professional guides, you will go through canyons and rapids to the feeling of an adrenaline rush. Later you will enjoy free time to check out the downtown of Jarabacoa.
Day 5- Constanza- Fresas Ariyama & Ebano Verde Scientific Reserve
Those who have had the opportunity to visit Fresas Ariyama, in Constanza, consider it a magical place. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a spectacular tea of fresh strawberries, freshly picked. These strawberries are characterized by being super juicy, sweet and large, which attracts the attention of the public that visits the place. At the end of this magnificent experience, you enjoy a delicious frozen strawberry juice. Later we will hike through the Ebano Verde scientific reserve which is home to over 600 species of flora and fauna, including over 100 bird species, giant tree frogs, lizards, and over 80 species of orchids. You will experience various ecosystems including rainforest, jungle canopy, and cloud forest among others. We will stop for lunch and then head back to the airport in Santiago.
