ITINERARY (Tentative)
Day 1: Santo Domingo- Colonial Zone and Eco-Tourism JFK Airport check- in, flight takeoff, arrive in Las Americas airport, transfer to Hodelpa Novus Plaza for hotel check-in, lunch and tour in the Colonial Zone, Los Tres Ojos, dinner.
Lodging: Hodelpa Novus Plaza, Santo Domingo
Day 2: Jaragua-Bahoruco-Enriquillo Biosphere Breakfast, hotelcheck-out, Biosphere tour includes boat ride w/crocodile watching, petroglyphs at Las Caritas historical and cultural heritage site, Visit Lake Enriquillo which has been flooding due to climate change. Hotel El Quemaito check in, dinner. Lodging: Hotel El Quemaito, Barahona Day 3: Boca de Cachón Exchange with Boca de Cachon displaced community due to climate change, travel to the border of Haiti, return to Barahona, dinner.

Day 4: Barahona- Los Cocos Wind Farmand San Rafael Eco-Surf School Breakfast, trip to Los Cocos Wind Farm tour, Educational exchange with San Rafael Surf School including mountain tour, agro-forestry project, and lunch. Optionalsurf lesson or larimar stone demonstration, dinner.
Lodging: Hotel El Quemaito, Barahona
Day 5: Santo Domingo- Green Depot Travel to Santo Domingo, hotel check-in at Hodelpa Novus Plaza, educational exchange with Green Depot and lunch including chat on how palm tree yagua is recycled and repurposed into household items, student recycling activity.

Day 6: Santo Domingo- Recycling and Renewable Energy Head off to Monte Plata Solar for a tour and chat, then beach time in Juan Dolio.

Day 7: Santo Domingo- ASOFER and El Conuco Educational workshop with ASOFER to learn about renewable energy production in the DR. Special Dinner at El Conuco.

Day 8: Santiago - Monumento de la Restauración Arrival, transfer to Central Plaza Hodelpa. Visit Monument Héroes de la Restauración, dinner.
Lodging: Central Plaza Hodelpa, Santiago
Day 9: Santiago- Recycling and Horticulture Breakfast, Tour and Chat with CILPEN Global Recycling to see the recycling process up close and learn about how they have made their operations more sustainable via certifications and plant upgrades. Then we will eat lunch and do educational exchanges with the Santiago Botanical Garden including plant ID, compost, and garden tours, dinner.

Day 10: Sosua- Mangrove and Coral Restoration Breakfast, hotelcheck-out, travel to Sosua for educational exchange and hands on project with Fundacion Ecologica Magua on mangrove and coral restoration including lunch. Beach time after service, dinner in Sosua.

Day 11: Jarabacoa- 27 Waterfalls of Damajagua Visit the Damajagua waterfalls, lunch, travel to Jarabacoa, dinner, Bohios de Campo Añil hotel check-in. Lodging: Bohíos de Campo Añil, Jarabacoa
Day 12: Jarabacoa- Tree plantings, Eco- Tourismand UAFAM University Exchange Breakfast,chat and tree planting exchangewith Instituto de Medioambiente by the Yaque del Norte River. Learn howtree plantings help to replenish the riverwater. Thisincludeslunch and hike to Salto de Jimenoa for a swim, exchangewith UAFAM university and Cluster Turistico de Jarabacoa to learn about the creation of eco-tourism clusters and economic development, dinner.

Day 13- Jarabacoa- Aqueduct Project with Fondos Mineros Breakfast, hands on project with community members to install aqueduct pipes to improve Water accessfor15 families including lunch, dinner and free time.
Lodging: Bohíos de Campo Añil, Jarabacoa
Day 14-Jarabacoa- Agroforestry with Caficultores de Jarabacoa Breakfast, hotelcheck-out, learn about sustainable coffee production and do hands on field project on a local farm including lunch, transfer to Santo Domingo, special dinner at El Conuco.

Day 15- Santo Domingo- Colonial Zone- Airport Breakfast, tour the colonial zone, lunch, hotel check out, airport check in at Las Americas.
